Thunderbird is a popular and safer email reader among all of the internet users. And an email reader is always a mostly usable application which uses by an internet user. If you want to run thunderbird then you need to open it and for continuing, you need to minimize it on taskbar. But running the entire time minimized on taskbar is really a pain and chaos with lots of other open applications.

So, for removing this problem Mozilla brings new extension, Minimize to Tray for thunderbird. Minimize to Tray offers you to minimize Thunderbird to the system tray as a replacement for staying always on the taskbar. After installing it, the tiny Thunderbird icon will always show up at the area of notification taskbar or when you minimize or clicking close button. From now user will be informed consistently when latest message is arrived. Away from its basic functionality, Minimize to Tray option give you the opportunity to run Thunderbird at the same time as Windows start (depends on your settings). There are also quite a few configurable options that will help the Thunderbird users. So download it and enjoy with your Thunderbird from now.

One of the popular browsers among the people Mozilla recently launches Firefox 3.0.7 update for the user around the world. The seventh update of the Firefox 3 repaired number of issues found in Firefox 3.0.6, such as,

It fixes several security issues for instance,

URL spoofing with invisible control characters.

Upgrade PNG library to fix memory safety hazards.

XML data theft via RDFXMLDataSource and cross-domain redirect.

Mozilla Firefox XUL Linked Clones Double Free Vulnerability.

Crashes with evidence of memory corruption (rv:1.9.0.7).

The Firefox also fixed several stability issues and the Firefox 3.0.7 official release for the Estonian, Kannada and Telugu languages are available. Another problem was, items in the “File” menu shows inactive after using the “Print” item from that menu - switching to a new tab restores them (bug 425844). This problem is also being fixed. The MAC users of the Flashblock add-on, experienced an problem where sound from the Flash plug-in would continue to play for a short time after closing a tab or window. So, it seems that Firefox 3.0.7 fixed several issues related to accessibility features.

The update Firefox 3.0.7 is free to download, so enjoy it and take pleasure of using the update Firefox.

When the Mozilla first released the in-browser messaging/content aggregation client, it was the best with its cool looking logo and the idea was the best. However, the new version is just been released and it is also more cooler then the previous version. The new version, Snowl 0.2 supports both incoming and outgoing messages from Twitter, and features a much better looking “river of news” view.

Although the guys from the Mozilla is claiming that the intention for Snowl is to be all encompassing, currently its only capabilities are reading feeds and Tweets. The subscriber to an RSS feed or connect to Twitter by feeding Snowl your username and password and your feeds show up right there in your browser in the view of your choice:

The River view
In this view, a slim left hand column will appear in your browser window listing the people you follow and shortcuts to websites. The rest of the browser shows the actual content. If you click on a feed or a user’s Twitter icon to display only their material in the main part of the browser or click on the All icon for a smorgasbord of your favorite content.

The Stream view
This view provides shortcuts to your RSS feeds and entire tweets will appear in a slim left hand column in your browser window. The rest of the browser is left for you to surf as you please. A refresh button is also included at the top of the “stream” in case you have a sneaking suspicion that things are going on in your content-verse.

The List view
This view is more like an e-mail client view. Twitter users and feeds listed in the left hand column, titles of each tweet/article in a horizontal column at the top and the main content viewing window in the remaining. On top of the ability to tweet directly from your browser, Snowl offers up little search fields in each view. You know, in case there’s something you want to revisit but the thought of browsing through tons of content for it makes you crazy.

The Principles of Snowl

People and conversations are first-class objects.

One single application can satisfy a broad range of users.

Feeds are a transport format, not a feature.

Searching option is better than pre-categorization.

A messaging application is a platform.

Browser features are very useful for messaging.
